“And now, Rome's Kitchen is actually the incubator for my family to help us get to the next level.”
In this episode, our featured voice is Rome Rogers the founder of Rome’s Kitchen in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco. Rome like many food entrepreneurs decided to take his love of food and hard work and invest in himself to pursue his dream of starting his own restaurant. Rome’s Kitchen is a unique Bayview mash-up of Italian and soul food. I’ll let Rome tell you more about how he came up with this unique blend of food and culture
Rome Rogers
Chef Roman Rogers makes chicken wings so good they warranted their own music video. His business, Rome's Kitchen, combines the two cuisines he loves most—Italian and Soul Food. Rome is a self-taught chef whose relatively new food business (est. 2019) has already attracted a devoted following. Born and raised in the Bayview, Rome views cooking as an art form. His menu, featuring items like "Fried Salmon, Mac, and Beans," reflects that sense of playfulness and creativity. His Chicken Italian Alfredo is one of his most popular dishes.
Rome’s Kitchen
Romes kitchen is an Italian Soulfood restaurant I decided to create in the middle of 2019. I would work long hours at other companies, therefore I decided to invest in to myself and put those hours into my own company. We feed people here at Rome's Kitchen and like to deliver a unique experience through our food that is one of a kind.
