CalNon-Profit
The California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits) is a statewide policy alliance of nearly 10,000 organizations, representing and promoting California’s growing nonprofit sector. We work to strengthen the power of California’s nonprofits because stronger nonprofits mean stronger communities and a better California. CalNonprofits pays close attention to representing the often overlooked elements of the nonprofit world: community-based organizations, organizations in communities of color, organizations working in low-income communities, rural organizations, and all-volunteer organizations.
Through our policy advocacy work, CalNonprofits strives to raise the voice of nonprofits and protect and enhance their ability to serve California. We envision a climate where nonprofits can emerge, compete for leadership, thrive, fail, succeed, and change the world. This means a place where regulatory, tax, civic, and philanthropic policies support nonprofits. Nonprofit organizations are a central part of civic participation. When nonprofits use our voting power, we advance our causes,
make our voices heard and change the world for the better.
