San Francisco is actually, a very tax happy jurisdiction. It’s remarkably easy to put a new tax on the ballot. The board of supervisors can actually remove taxes, but voters need to approve taxes. But in order to put on the ballot, you need less than 10,000 signatures. So it’s actually quite easy to do and taxes tend to be quite popular in San Francisco. So as a result, the city has just approved a lot of taxes, in recent years. So it’s been something like seven in the past five years versus if you compare it to Oakland and San Jose, they’ve only changed their business tax code once in the past decade. So, it’s a lot of new changes and a lot of new taxes and there’s more forthcoming.
